Grants and scholarships

Many international universities are eager to help prospective foreign students study on their campuses and become part of a global community. A wide range of scholarship programs are available to international students, many of which are funded by universities, governments, or private foundations. These programs either fully or partially cover the cost of study, and some offer monthly stipends, accommodation, and much more.

University of Luxembourg’s Scholarship for International Master’s Students

The University of Luxembourg was founded in 2003. In a cosmopolitan and multilingual setting, students from over 125 countries study with financial support available for master’s students. The university has quickly gained a great international reputation due to its innovative programs and academic atmosphere.

International Master’s students receive a monthly allowance of 500 euros for the duration of the 10-month academic year. Scholarship recipients are provided with free dormitory accommodation.

Note: This scholarship cannot be combined with any other grant funded by the Luxembourg government.

Stipendium Hungaricum (Hungary Government Scholarship)

The Hungary Government Scholarship is intended to bolster the internationalization and ongoing development of Hungarian higher education, fortify the international relations of the academic community, and boost the prestige and competitiveness of Hungarian higher education globally.

International students are given the chance to obtain higher education at universities that are part of the Stipendium Hungaricum program at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels.

Musser Entrepreneurial Scholarship

Warren V. Musser Fellowship is a unique scholarship for those pursuing Entrepreneurial studies. It was established to encourage and cultivate future entrepreneurs and those who aspire to have a career in entrepreneurship. The scholarship is granted by the Penn State Great Valley School of Graduate Professional Studies.

Oxford-Pershing Square Graduate Scholarships

Only six master’s students are eligible for the Oxford-Pershing Square Graduate Scholarship. The scholarship is granted by the Saïd Business School at Oxford University to individuals who can demonstrate exceptional potential and dedication to solving global issues. Students have the opportunity to pursue any of the partnered 1+1 MBA programs.

MEXT Japanese Government Scholarship

The MEXT Research Scholarship, one of the most sought-after and prestigious scholarships, is granted by the Japanese government to international students to study at the country’s universities. Bachelor’s and Master’s students can study at 90% of Japan’s universities with either partial or full cost coverage.

Bachelor’s degree

  • Monthly allowance of 117,000 yen (students and researchers in certain regions receive an additional monthly supplement of 2,000 or 3,000 yen)
  • Coverage of entrance exams, registration, and tuition fees
  • Travel expenses, including arrival to and departure from Japan

Master’s degree

  • Monthly allowance of 144,000 yen (143,000 yen during preparatory education). Students and researchers in certain regions receive an additional monthly supplement of 2,000 or 3,000 yen.
  • Coverage of entrance exams, registration, and tuition fees
  • Travel expenses, including arrival to and departure from Japan
