Sinet Spark announces new Star Team program

New participants were enrolled in the Star Team program from among school students of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
In total, 136 applications were received for participation in the project, 116 schoolchildren were selected from them: 40 students of 9th grade and 76 students of 10th grade.
The project program includes weekly online master classes by the experts and students of the universities on admission to the best universities in the world from September 18 to December 25, 2021, who will tell about their admission experience and the peculiarities of studying and living abroad.

The webinars will include topics such as "Where to go for higher education abroad?”, which will include the information on the international rating of universities, how to choose a university, general requirements for all universities, academic and language training, stages and timelines for preparation; "Higher education in the USA, Great Britain, Canada and other countries", where experts will talk about the advantages of the education system in different countries, a list of top universities, career prospects, application process and preparation stages.
There will also be the most up-to-date information about changes in admission abroad in connection with COVID and answers to questions from participants.

A series of practical workshops will be held from January to May 2022:

1. Exploring different universities and the choice of universities,
how to choose universities for yourself according to the principle of "dream university", "optimal university", "safe choice" ("reach", "match', "safety");
2. Admission strategy to study in the USA,
all preparation components, required documents, submission deadlines, Common App system;
3. Admission strategy to study in the UK,
all preparation components, required documents, submission deadlines, UCAS system, separate submission to Oxbridge;
4. Admission strategy to study in Canada,
all components of preparation, necessary documents, deadlines for submission, the system of submission of documents to Canadian universities;
5. International Exams (IELTS, TOEFL, SAT/ACT),
recent changes, exam content and preparation structure;
6. Extracurricular portfolio,
the importance of academic merit and extracurricular activities, examples;
7. How to write a motivation letter.
8. How to prepare and pass the interview.
9. Integrity of the application process.

The program of webinars and workshops will familiarize the participants with relevant necessary information and help them to enroll in top universities.
