We organized meetings with the students of American, Canadian, and British universities, where they talked about their path from school to the best world's universities, shared their life hacks, spoke about living and studying in another country, difficulties they faced, and how they overcame all the obstacles. Mitya from Nizhny Novgorod told how physics research at school and his guitarist career in a school band helped him enter a prestigious Duke University, about his first year and the friendly community. Sasha from Moscow talked about the importance of being an "A" student for enrolling into the Canadian UBC, her video interview-making experience, and her window view of the mountains, ocean, and forests of British Columbia, which she forever fell in love with.
The participants of the Star Team had a chance to participate in an online workshop with the director and methodist of the language school Ksenia Rastorgueva. She talked about preparing and passing international exams like IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, ACT, and Duolingo.
We held the final webinar in December with our submission experts to the USA, British, and Canadian universities. It included discussions on the professional possibilities in each country, qualifications, and career prospects.
The Star Team plans to start workshops on writing a motivational letter, describing extracurricular activities, and the portfolio design. The students will thoroughly analyze the time limits and strategies for applying to the American Common App system, English UCAS, and Canadian system. They will get the opportunity to receive feedback on their essays from the experts, and this will significantly help them to improve their work and increase their chances of admission.
In the summer, participants will be selected among the 14 first season finalists who will get financial aid to study at universities from the Star Team list for the entire period. The program also provides Foundation fees in the UK (additional training before admission).
The program's first season finalists will have an incredible journey, which will become the basis for a further bright and successful life. Even those who do not make it to the finals will go a long way and become competitive among students in Russia and the world.
