The participants of Star Team have taken part in 16 online conferences with the experts on submission to the best universities

Webinars with the participation of the best experts on submission to universities of the USA, the UK, Canada, Germany, Italy, Finland, South Korea, Japan and others were organized for the members of Star Team, where the participants of the program got familiarized with the advantages of the system of education, criteria of choosing a university, requirements for the applicants and the nuances of the academic and language preparation. The stages of the preparation for submission were also thoroughly discussed, as well as given review of extracurricular activities and changes due to the pandemic.

The meetings were organized with the students of American, Canadian and British universities, where the students told about their path from school to the best universities of the world, shared their life hacks, talked about living and studying in another country, which difficulties they faced and how they overcame all the obstacles. Mitya from Nizhny Novgorod told how physics research at school and his guitarist career in a school band helped him to enter a prestigious Duke university, about his freshman year and the friendly community. Sasha from Moscow told about the importance of being an “A” student for enrolling into the Canadian UBC, her video interview making experience and the view from the window to the mountains, ocean and forests of British Columbia, which she forever fell in love with.

The participants of the Star Team had a chance to take part in an online workshop with the director and methodist of the language school Ksenia Rastorgueva who told the children about how to prepare and pass such international exams like IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, ACT and Duolingo.
In December the final webinar with our experts on submission to the universities of the USA, Great Britain and Canada was held. It included discussions on the professional possibilities in each country, being in demand with various qualifications and career prospects.

The Start Team is planning to start having workshops on writing a motivational letter, describing extracurricular activities and the portfolio composition. The students will thoroughly analyze the time limits and strategies on how to apply with the American Common App system, English UCAS and Canadian system according to the states. The kids will get the opportunity to receive feedback on their essays from the experts, this will significantly help them to improve their works and increase the chances of admission.

In the summer, participants will be selected to be among the 14 finalists who will get financial aid to study at universities from the Star Team list for the entire period, and the program also provides for Foundation fees in the UK (additional training before admission).
The finalists of the program will have a great journey, which will become the basis for further bright and successful life. Even those who do not make it to the finals will go a long way and become competitive among students in Russia and the world.
